Start your adventure with a trip to Andranomafana, a community village nearby the town of Antsirabe. The trip lasts about four and a half hours, so you will arrive by lunch time. The members of the association Loharanosoa will welcome you with a succulent meal based on local products. After lunch, they will lead you to discover the area and meet the locals.

At the end of the day, drive back to Antsirabe for an overnight stay in a comfortable hotel.

Today, continue your adventure to the South by discovering Ambositra, the capital of Malagasy handicraft (about 2 hours driving). This region is especially known for wood carving which is a Zafimaniry ancestral art (a local ethnic group). The Zafimaniry sculpture is seen almost everywhere in Ambositra. You will discover one of the famous workshops specialized in that field during your visit. There you can observe the craftsman carrying out his meticulous work.

After the stop in Ambositra, head on to Ranomafana. This trip takes 3 hours driving at the outside. Upon arrival, check-in and relax at your hotel.

For your third day of community-based trip, enjoy a full day expedition in the national park of Ranomafana, one of the most important wildlife sites in Madagascar. This park is also among the best rainforest reserves in this part of the region. The Ranomafana National Park is a part of the eastern corridor of the island and one of the most recommanded places to spot different endemic species such as lemurs, reptiles, frogs and invertebrates. This rainforest station shelters many flora diversities and a large kind of medicinal plants as well. In the evening, you will have another walk to discover the night wildlife activity.

Enjoy a last morning to discover Ranomafana and its beauty. Many places can be visited such as the thermal station where is a swimming pool filled with natural hot water. You can also visit weaving workshops or simply take a walk to appreciate the landscape. After lunch, drive to Fianarantsoa. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel and relax.

To reach Sahambavy, board on the FCE Railway, the last train in the Fianarantsoa Corridor! This trip is one of the most interesting parts of the South-East tour. It invites you discover the region on another side. On the way, you will spot a luxurious vegetation and the typical landascape of ricefields in the South-East. The train will have a stop at Vohimasina station (in Ambalakely), then will continue to Sahambavy. The whole trip lasts about one hour.

This day, enjoy an exclusive immersion into the famous tea factory of Sahambavy called SIDEXAM. Spread over more than 350 hectares, the plantation was created in 1969 within the arrival of the French Institute of Coffee and Cocoa. Sahambavy tea is especially dedicated to export although it is also consumed on the local market. At present, the factory proposes different flavors to make the tea more succulent and richer in therapeutic virtues. The black tea is among the most appreciated products for its taste and its antioxidant properties.

The visit of the tea factory takes 1 to 3 hours. You can continue your expedition by walking around to enjoy the vast and splendid green landscape.
